Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Director of Behavioral Health to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a behavioral health department within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care driving performance improvement initiatives managing staff and maintaining regulatory compliance.

The Director will serve as a key liaison between patients families physicians and hospital leadership fostering a collaborative and patient-centered care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Behavioral Health department
• Develop and implement departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives
• Drive quality improvement initiatives patient safety and patient satisfaction
• Manage staffing performance evaluations and professional development of team members
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
• Monitor departmental productivity budgeting and resource utilization
• Oversee the delivery of patient-centered behavioral health services
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care coordination
• Optimize operational efficiency while maintaining high standards of care
• Promote a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Masters Degree (required within 6 months of hire)
• Minimum 5 years of Director-level Behavioral Health experience

• 5 years of Behavioral Health leadership experience in an acute care setting (Manager-level candidates may be considered)
