We are currently seeking a full-timeDirector of Nursingto join our team atApalachee Correctional Institution- East Unitlocated in Sneads Florida.
TheDirector of Nursing (DON)is responsible for providing clinical educational and professional supervision for nursing and support staff in the correctional environment. Works under the direction of the contract manager and collaborates with mental health/medical leadership and other members of the multidisciplinary team to improve health care of incarcerated patients.
Qualifications
Associates degree required
Registered Nurse (RN) license
Progressive experience in nursing care with a minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience preferred
Corrections forensic or criminal justice experience preferred
Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Ability to obtain security clearance to include drug screen and criminal background check
Available Shift:Monday-Friday extra shifts as needed
