Distribution Supervisor 2nd shift

Shaw Industries is looking for a Distribution Supervisor tosupervise a safe efficient and productive work environmentso as tosatisfy customer requirements and improve the overall performance of all Distribution associates.This positionis located inDalton GA.The hours for this position is 2nd shift 3:00pm- 11:00pm.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for daily shift operation of the department(s)

• Continuously strives to provide a safe work environment to help reach our goal of Zero accidents.

• Continuously works to produce Zero defects. Investigates any quality problem within the department.

• Supervises assigned work gives proper instructionsand manages the performance of associates.

• Ensures Company policies are adheredtoand attendance policies are followed. Administers corrective discipline whereappropriate.

• Coordinates product flow in amannerto best meet the needs of each department while also meeting customer requirements.

• Assures associates are following proper procedures while conforming to customer requirements.

• Monitors shift production and LMS system

• Coordinates withthe MaintenanceDepartment to ensure all maintenance projects are completed ina timelyand efficient manner.

• Tours departmentobservingquality and operations of equipment. Investigates production problems and takes corrective action as needed.

• Actively works to increase employee engagementattendanceand morale.

• Actively seeks out areas of improvement within the department.

• Actively promotes andmaintainsthe SMSPRIDEand SAFE systems within the department.

• Follows procedure for employees returning from LOA or Layoff.

• Completes all requiredtimecardreporting.

Requirements:

• 2 years leadership experience

• Proficiencyin Microsoft Suite

• Strong Communication/Soft Skills

• Strong relationship buildingskills

• Ability to support other shifts based on businessneeds

Preferred Experience:

• PreviousDistribution/Logisticsexperience

• Bilingual in Spanishpreferred
