Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage and process weekly payroll for a growing organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing maintaining payroll records and supporting compliance with applicable wage and hour regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for employees in an accurate and timely manner using Paylocity
- Review audit and validate timekeeping data including hours worked overtime and deductions
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local payroll regulations and company policies
- Maintain and update employee payroll records including new hires terminations and compensation changes
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll deductions and pay discrepancies
- Reconcile payroll reports and assist with general ledger entries as needed
- Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports to management
- Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits
- Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure alignment on employee data and payroll accuracy
Qualifications:
- 3 years of payroll processing experience
- Experience processing weekly payroll required
- Proficiency with Paylocity preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of California payroll laws and wage & hour compliance
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting
$50000 - $60000 a year
