For Part-Time Instructors Entrepreneurial Education:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or business-related field

• At least five years of Small business management previous ownership top management experience in small business or other business experience in a significant management capacity

Subject areas of interest include:

• Marketing

• Financing businesses

• Understanding and using financial statements taxes

For Business Advisors:

• SBCD business advisors provide direct business management and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners who are growing their businesses.

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration or business-related field (Masters degree preferred)

• At least ten years of small business management previous ownership top management experience in small business or other business experience in a significant management capacity

• Ability to relate to a diverse group of people (Primary contacts will be a broad cross-section of the general public)

• Ability to analyze and research issues and work with others toward a solution

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision while maintaining excellent records

• Familiarity with business software (word processing spreadsheets database software Quickbooks or other accounting software)

• A team player who enjoys working in a collaborative manner with entrepreneurs business owners and other resources in the SBDC Network and with partner organization.

  Part-time Faculty Compensation at PCC

  Newly hired Part-time Faculty at PCC will generally start at Step 1 of the current salary schedule.

  Hourly rates are determine based upon the type of course taught (Lecture Lab or Lecture/Lab).

  Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) you may view Portland Community Colleges (PCC) most recent Annual Security Report (ASR) on theDepartment of Public Safetywebsite. The ASR contains current security and safety-related policy disclosure statements emergency preparedness and evacuation information crime prevention and sexual assault prevention information and resources and drug and alcohol prevention programming. The ASR also contains crime statistics for Clery Act crimes which occurred on PCC properties for the last three calendar years.
