About the Role

We areseekinga strategiccreativeand commercially minded Legal Counsel tofacilitateand support ourAPAC expansion currentlylocatedin Singapore and expanding to Hong Kong.Your role will be toprovidepracticalsolutions-oriented legal guidance aligned with the firms growthobjectives.

This individual will serve as the primary legal partner for the APAC business working closely withbusiness management portfolio managerstrading operationsfinance legal andcompliancegloballyto ensure that risk is managed effectively whilefacilitatingaccess to new marketsproductsand regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advisebusiness onapplicable tradingrules and regulations
• Work with the APAC compliance officer(locatedinSingapore) tofacilitateregistrationprocessesfor new licensesand regulatory applicationsinAPAC.
• Conduct duediligenceand negotiatesub-advisoryagreements withAPACsub-advisorsidentifiedby the business team
• Facilitate and manage APAC prime brokerage relationshipsISDAs execution arrangements and other trading documentationincluding negotiation and execution of account opening documentation and amendments
• Review data agreements; coordinate with business on obtaining new datasets and streamlining regional processes
• Reviewothercontracts arisingwith respect tothe APAC business
• Advise on legal and regulatory mattersimpactingAPAC operationsregulatory developmentstrading activities and fund structures
• Provide clearcommercially orientedlegal advice to support business growth whilemaintaininga strong risk framework
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with the SingaporeCompliance Officer

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in Hong Kongor Singapore
• Solid understanding of APAC regulatory frameworks relevant to investment managers and trading entities
• Experience engaging with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and familiarity with Hong Kong licensing requirements strongly preferred
• Experience in SingaporeJapanand Australia
• Best candidates will have experience with both tradingAPAC prime brokerage relationships ISDAsexecutionarrangements and other trading documentationas well as global hedge fund structures
• Ability tooperateindependently in a fast-paced evolving and growth-oriented environment
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across functions and geographies
• High levelof integrity sound judgment and a proactive solutions-driven mindset
• 5-10years of experience
