Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing daily patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes frequent interaction with patients and physicians implementing treatment plans supporting patient education and maintaining accurate patient records.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist with implementation and progression of patient treatment plans
  • Participate in ongoing patient assessments and treatment plan reviews
  • Educate patients on exercises treatment plans and home programs
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support billing and compliance including Medicare guidelines
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients physicians and team members
  • Assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized clinical environment
  • Support facility operations including equipment maintenance and supply inventory
  • Participate in team meetings training and in-service education
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active Alaska PTA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Starting at $75000 annually
