Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is responsible for providing daily patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role includes frequent interaction with patients and physicians implementing treatment plans supporting patient education and maintaining accurate patient records.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist with implementation and progression of patient treatment plans
- Participate in ongoing patient assessments and treatment plan reviews
- Educate patients on exercises treatment plans and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support billing and compliance including Medicare guidelines
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients physicians and team members
- Assist in maintaining a clean safe and organized clinical environment
- Support facility operations including equipment maintenance and supply inventory
- Participate in team meetings training and in-service education
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Alaska PTA license (or ability to obtain)
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- New graduates welcome to apply
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
