Job Description:

Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients physical condition mobility strength balance posture and range of motion.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Perform therapeutic exercises to improve strength flexibility endurance and coordination.
- Use manual therapy techniques including joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation.
- Administer physical agents such as heat cold ultrasound electrical stimulation and traction when appropriate.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs injury prevention posture body mechanics and self-management techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses occupational therapists speech therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations treatment sessions progress notes and discharge summaries.
- Assist patients in regaining mobility following surgery injury stroke or illness.
- Recommend assistive devices such as walkers canes crutches wheelchairs or orthotics and provide training on their use.
- Assess fall risk and implement interventions to improve safety and reduce injury.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations ethical standards infection control and patient privacy requirements.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate appropriate follow-up care.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation aides as permitted by state regulations.
- Stay current with evidence-based practices through continuing education and professional development.
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 am 6:00 pm 1 weekend per month and 2 holidays per year.
