Job Title: Intervention Specialist (PK - 4th Grade)
Location: Perry Preschool / Perry Elementary School
Compensation: Per PCTA Negotiated Agreement

Job Summary:
Perry Local Schools desires to employ an Ohio licensed teacher to serve as an Intervention Specialist at Perry Preschool / Elementary School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and special education with a focus on creating an inclusive supportive and stimulating environment for young learners of diverse abilities. Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) collaborating with general education teachers therapists and parents and utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies to address the unique needs of each child.

1. Assessment and Evaluation:
   • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students needs.
   • Use data-driven approaches to evaluate student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
   • Collaborate with classroom teachers parents and other specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
2. Instructional Support:
   • Develop and implement evidence-based intervention programs tailored to individual student needs.
   • Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.
   • Integrate interventions within the general education curriculum and collaborate with teachers to support inclusive practices.
3. Behavioral and Social-Emotional Support:
   • Implement strategies to support students social-emotional development and positive behavior.
   • Work with school counselors and psychologists to address behavioral issues and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
4. Collaboration and Communication:
   • Maintain open communication with parents providing regular updates on student progress and strategies for support at home.
   • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including speech and language therapists occupational therapists and other specialists.
   • Work collaboratively with Educational Associates to support student needs delegating in a productive and effective manner
   • Participate in IEP meetings parent-teacher conferences and professional development sessions.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and intervention outcomes.
   • Prepare reports for IEP meetings progress reviews and other required documentation.
6. Professional Development:
   • Stay current with best practices and research in early childhood intervention and special education.
   • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities provided by the school or district.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Early Childhood (P-3) Licenseand Intervention Specialist (K-12) License
