Position: Accounting AI Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60$80/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated outputs related to journal entries financial statement preparation tax calculations audit procedures and accounting standards interpretation.
• Create realistic scenarios based on accounting workflows such as month-end close revenue recognition analysis tax provision computation internal control testing and audit workpapers.
• Annotate label and validate data across accounting use cases like lease accounting under ASC 842 consolidation intercompany eliminations and SOX compliance.
• Provide structured feedback on AI accuracy in areas such as US GAAP IFRS IRC PCAOB standards and professional ethics.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation frameworks for accounting-domain AI.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 3 years of professional experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 national regional or local) corporate accounting department or government/nonprofit finance function.
• Background in one or more areas such as external audit tax financial reporting and controllership internal audit and forensic accounting.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate accounting workflows into structured evaluation tasks.
• Clear written communication and attention to detail.

Preferred

• CPA license or CPA exam progress.
