Job Summary
- To be considered for this role you must possess a bachelors degree.
- Must have experience coaching baseball at the college level.
- Head baseball coaching experience at the Division II level is preferred.
- Expeirence motivating the scholar athlete to perform in the classroom and playing field is required.
- National certification(s) for baseball coaches

Salary/Pay Range:$ 71431 - $85000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications. This position is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

Summary
Head coach for the varsity mens baseball team for intercollegiate competition at a nationally competitive level. This position will report to the Athletic Director and will supervise an assistant coach and volunteer coaches. This role requires knowledge of baseball training and coaching techniques as well as an understanding of or ability to learn the NCAA forms and compliance requirements.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Coaching (30%)
- Train varsity baseball teams for intercollegiate competition at a nationally competitive level.
- Develop and implement 5 year annual seasonal monthly weekly and daily plan for practice and development.
- Develop and implement game plan.
- Maintain and increase knowledge of baseball training and coaching techniques.
- Supervise the training development and placement of staff personnel.
Recruiting (30%)
- Evaluate prospective student-athletes.
- Develop and maintain correspondence for prospective student-athletes.
- Schedule coordinate and supervise official and unofficial visits of prospective student-athletes.
- Supervise National Letter of Intent Signing and Athletic Financial Aid Contracts.
Academics (10%)
- Monitor academic performance of student-athletes.
- Counsel student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with all UCCS and NCAA regulations regarding academic eligibility requirements.
Scheduling (10%)
- Plan and coordinate Division II baseball schedule within NCAA Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and institutional guidelines.
- Supervise home game administration.
- Plan and coordinate team travel and lodging.
Fund Raising (10%)
- Solicit sponsors to provide cash merchandise and/or services.
- Organize and sponsor tournaments and other athletic events.
Public Relations (10%)
- Develop and maintain positive public relations with the University and community.
- Project positive image of UCCS and Department of Athletics.
- Supervise correspondence regarding UCCS baseball.
- Promote UCCS baseball.
