We have an excitingopportunity for a Receipting & Allocation Officer to join ourCredit team within our national Finance team. Reporting to theCredit Manager this role will form part of the credit controlfunction and will assist with the day-to-day workflow of theteam.
The Finance Team at Hall &Wilcox is a team of 37 that provide financial and managementaccounting trust accounting accounts payable accountsreceivable banking and practice support functions across theFirm.
You will be responsiblefor:
- managing receipting for firm accounts;
- processing client credit card payments;
- resolving client payment queries;
- managing and rectifying unidentified deposits; and
- preparing documentation for refunds of duplicate/incorrect payments;
- acting as back up to the Credit Officers and assisting with debtor collections for the firm nationally when required. This includes collections via calls and email; and
- ad hoc duties as required from time to time.
Aboutyou
You will ideally have thefollowing skills and experience:
- minimum 2 years experience in accounts receipting or payment processing preferably within a law firm or professional services environment (experience with Aderant highly desirable);
- a relevant tertiary qualification;
- demonstrated experience managing highvolume transactions (up to approximately 250 per day) in a predominantly manual processing environment;
- proven ability to review reconcile and clean up historical or legacy transactions;
- experience contributing to process improvement initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies;
- strong attention to detail;
- proactive problemsolving skills with a solutionfocused approach;
- ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a team;
- excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan prioritise and manage competing deadlines; and
- strong verbal and written communication skills.
