About the role

  • Deliver engaging initial ongoing and remedial training to campus outpatient and external collection staff ensuring consistent capability across all locations.

  • Lead competency management by coordinating assessing and documenting annual staff competencies in line with accreditation organisational and clinical standards.

  • Maintain and continuously improve training resources SOPs and documentation ensuring all materials are current accessible and audit-ready.

  • Drive compliance with NATA and NPAAC accreditation requirements including audit preparation corrective actions and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

  • Support operational excellence by partnering with leadership on workforce needs performance development WHS compliance and providing hands-on coverage during staffing gaps when required.


About you

  • Relevant qualifications and/or proven experience in pathology collections training education or a similar healthcare setting.

  • Strong understanding of NATA and NPAAC accreditation standards with the ability to apply these in day-to-day practice and audits.

  • Demonstrated expertise in training delivery competency assessment and documentation including developing SOPs and maintaining accurate records.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships across teams patients and stakeholders.

  • Solid technical capability in pathology collections with experience supporting performance management WHS compliance and a willingness to travel (current unrestricted drivers licence required).
