Job Summary
71 (Y) Sig Regt are recruiting several OR6 for Tp Sgt roles across all sub units located in SE England and London. The Ideal candidate would be experienced in Bowman and FFR GeV and have mil qualifications to deliver ITR training to SP within a Tp. As a SNCO they would be required to mentor and develop the Tp Cpls across G1-9 and actively support the Tp Comd/SSgt deputising during periods of absence. When deployed on exercise they would assist on Tp deployment planning and help identify logistic support requirements collating demands in a timely manner for addition to the following:
- Supervise Detachment Commanders in the maintenance of a Communications Detachment in line with the Sqn EC Policy.
- Ensure all detachments within the Troop are deployable and capable of providing robust tactical communications across VHFHF & UHF.
- Act as Reporting Officer delivering intimate CM and MS as required.
- Support the Tp Comd in the administration and management of the Tp.
- Assist (and organise) Annual ITR training for subordinates.
- Deploy on exercises as the Networks Engineer SNCO and assistant CSS Operator for the Tp
Secondary tasks:
- Active member of the WOs & Sgts Mess.
- Deputise for Tp SSgt as required.
