Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) at a top healthcare facility in Easley SC. This position involves providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in ICU care with strong expertise in monitoring assessing and providing interventions for patients experiencing life-threatening medical conditions. Floating between like units and other local facilities may be required based on staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the MICU
• Monitor and manage patients on life-support systems including ventilators invasive lines and pumps
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and in accordance with established protocols
• Utilize critical thinking and nursing interventions to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education regarding the critical care process and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EPIC system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care
• Follow established infection control and safety procedures
• Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations
• Float to like units within the hospital or to other local facilities as needed

Shift and Scheduling:

• Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (19:00 07:30)
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (may vary based on hospital need)
• Floating Required: Yes may float to like units or other facilities as necessary

Required Certifications:

• ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• BLS Basic Life Support
• SC RN License Active South Carolina Registered Nurse license

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an ICU/critical care setting
• 1 year of EPIC experience is required for documentation
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in managing critically ill patients
• Previous experience floating to other units is a plus
