Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Splunk Administrator to manage maintain and optimize our Splunk environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability performance and security of Splunk infrastructure while supporting data onboarding monitoring and analytics needs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain Splunk Enterprise environments
- Manage Splunk architecture including indexers search heads and forwarders
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime
- Perform data onboarding parsing and indexing from multiple data sources
- Implement and manage Splunk apps dashboards and alerts
- Optimize searches reports and dashboards for performance
- Manage role-based access control and user permissions
- Support incident response and root cause analysis using Splunk
Required Skills:
- Strong experience with Splunk Enterprise administration
- Hands-on experience with Splunk components (Indexer Search Head Forwarder)
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows systems administration
- Experience with scripting languages (Python Shell or PowerShell)
- Understanding of log management monitoring and alerting concepts
- Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS HTTP SSL)
- Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
