Position: Mechanical Engineer
Location: Houston TX 77072
Duration: 6 months (possible extension)
Hourly Pay Range: $38.46 $43.27 on W2
Shift: 8 AM 5 PM Mon - Fri
Overview
We are seeking a motivated Engineer (Mechanical Chemical or Petroleum) with strong technical aptitude and hands-on capability. This role involves working with high-pressure systems testing equipment and supporting product development and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions
- Support design development testing and improvement of products and systems
- Build prototypes and set up lab simulations for testing and validation
- Monitor equipment performance especially under high-pressure conditions (up to 4000 PSI)
- Conduct tests document results and implement corrective actions
- Analyze data create models and draw engineering conclusions
- Assist in planning and executing engineering projects to meet objectives
- Participate in technical reviews of designs specifications and requirements
- Maintain product documentation and support field operations/customers
- Provide training and technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers
- Stay updated on new technologies and engineering practices
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
Technical Requirements
- Comfortable working with high-pressure hydraulic systems (up to 4000 PSI)
- Knowledge of drilling fluids (mud systems) and ability to test and adjust properties
- Strong mechanical aptitude (equipment assembly/disassembly)
- High attention to detail for monitoring and adjusting system performance
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve engineering problems effectively
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Chemical or Petroleum)
- 1 3 years of relevant engineering experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day
