Reporting to the ChiefInformation Officer (CIO) the Integrated Technology and Electronic Services (ITES)Manager is a key member of the senior management team and is accountablefor translating organizational strategy into executable technology andelectronic services outcomes. The role provides leadership across businessapplications unified communications network infrastructure cybersecurity ITpolicy and governance electronic devices fiber optics and electricalservices. The ITES Manager supports all HHB departments that depend ontechnology-enabled services and is directly responsible for the leadershipperformance and development of ITES operational staff.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership forall HHB technology electronic and electrical infrastructure supporting safereliable and efficient bridge operations.
Develop and oversee technology lifecyclestrategies including asset planning redundancy business continuity disasterrecovery and risk mitigation for critical systems.
Ensure enterprise technology systems networksfiber optics cybersecurity platforms field devices and electrical systemsremain secure resilient and operating at optimal performance levels.
Lead the development implementation andgovernance of ITES policies procedures budgets forecasts and financialreporting to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
Manage procurement vendor relationshipscontracts and service level agreements including RFP processes evaluationsand vendor performance oversight.
Establish and maintain cybersecurity privacyand compliance programs including access controls monitoring audits threatresilience and adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
Lead the planning implementation and operationof access control intelligent surveillance and other infrastructureprotection systems.
Build lead and develop high-performingmultidisciplinary teams through recruitment coaching performance managementsuccession planning and employee development.
Collaborate with internal departments tounderstand operational needs deliver effective technology solutions and alignservices with organizational priorities.
Drive innovation continuous improvement and astrong health and safety culture by adopting emerging technologies enhancingprocesses and embedding safety into all ITES activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in InformationTechnology Computer Science Engineering Business Administration or arelated field or an equivalent combination of education experiencecertifications and training.
Significant progressive experience in senior ITor technology leadership roles preferably within complex operationalenvironments.
Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinarytechnical teams and building a collaborative high-performing culture.
Proven expertise in strategic planningoperational management and delivering technology services aligned withbusiness objectives.
Strong knowledge of enterprise ITinfrastructure cybersecurity networks digital communications and emergingtechnologies.
Experience managing budgets vendors contractsand external service providers.
Excellent communication stakeholder managementand problem-solving skills with a strong commitment to safety continuousimprovement and service excellence.
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Class 5 Drivers Licence
Position details:
Hiring1 position. This is a Full-time Permanent Non-union position working40hours per week Monday to Friday.
Shiftwork on-call response overtime or extended hours will be required based onoperational demands.
Theannual salary range for this position is$90013 - $112516
Working conditions:
This role is primarilyoffice-based at HHB facilities with periodic requirements to work in equipmentrooms and field environments including bridge decks. On-call availability isrequired to support critical infrastructure and incident response. The positioninvolves managing competing priorities time-sensitive incidents and complextechnical and operational issues requiring sustained mental focus soundjudgment and effective decision-making.
