Job Title: Registered Nurse PCU (MSDU)
Location: Rochester NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour 7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced PCU / Med-Surg Stepdown Registered Nurse (MSDU RN) to provide high-quality evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced intermediate care environment. This unit serves a diverse adult acute care population requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for Med-Surg and Stepdown patients
- Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias
- Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed
- Manage IV therapies including titratable infusions
- Provide respiratory support including oxygen therapy and non-invasive ventilation
- Care for patients with arterial lines central lines and telemetry monitoring
- Perform patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC
Requirements:
- Active New York State RN License (must be in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of PCU / Stepdown / Med-Surg experience
- Required Certifications:
- BLS
- NIHSS (required at submission if available)
- EPIC experience required
