Job Summary
Employee-owned premier countertop company is looking for a full-time Receptionist in our Syracuse office.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Receptionist to support daily office operations across multiple departments. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers while providing essential clerical and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized responsive and committed to delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage a multi-line phone system directing calls appropriately and ensuring messages are accurately recorded and delivered in a timely manner
Greet and assist visitors creating a welcoming and professional front-office experience
Respond to general inquiries and provide company or product information as needed
Support office staff with administrative tasks including document preparation data entry and correspondence (letters memos reports)
- Coordinate with sales staff to schedule appointments follow up with customers and verify information
- Handle incoming communications including distributing faxes and other documents
- Maintain office supply inventory including receiving stocking and distributing materials
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying filing and organizing records
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional timely and accurate manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of administrative clerical or office support experience
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Proficiency in basic office equipment and common software (word processing data entry)
- Ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic knowledge of inventory or office supply management is a plus
- Flexibility to work shift schedules including every other weekend
