Job Summary

At SLS The Red Sea luxury is defined by the details and as Purchasing Manager you shape those details long before a guest arrives. This role goes beyond procurement; its about curating quality sourcing with intention and ensuring every product reflects the brands bold design-led identity. Balancing creativity with commercial insight you will anticipate operational needs build strong supplier partnerships and drive smart purchasing decisions that deliver consistency innovation and excellence across the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with department leaders to forecast requirements and ensure seamless supply across all guest touchpoints
  • Source evaluate and onboard high-quality suppliers that meet SLS standards of luxury reliability and consistency
  • Monitor supplier performance and take corrective action where needed to protect service delivery and brand integrity
  • Oversee inventory management across departments ensuring optimal stock levels minimal waste and operational readiness
  • Manage procurement budgets conduct cost analysis and identify efficiencies without compromising quality
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with internal policies brand standards and local regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records including purchase orders contracts and supplier documentation
  • Drive process improvements through procurement systems automation and reporting tools
  • Lead and develop the purchasing team fostering a culture of accountability agility and collaboration
  • Act as the key liaison between suppliers operational departments and finance to ensure alignment and efficiency
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively resolving issues such as delays shortages or compliance gaps
  • Champion sustainable sourcing practices and environmentally responsible alternatives in line with brand commitments

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5 years experience in procurement within luxury hospitality or lifestyle hotel brands including at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of procurement systems (e.g. Birchstreet) inventory management and reporting tools
  • Solid financial and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Commercially savvy with a creative mindset and a passion for quality and detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced pre-opening environment with evolving priorities
  • High level of organization attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence
