Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Room (ER) to join a busy Level II Trauma Center in Lubbock Texas. This role requires strong clinical judgment rapid decision-making skills and the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
The RN will manage a diverse patient population with a strong focus on stabilization triage and acute care interventions.
Key Details
Shift: Night Shift (3x12 Hours) 19:00 to 07:00
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Orientation: 40 hours (Non-billable)
Patient Ratio: 1:3
Weekend Requirement: Yes (6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks)
Block Scheduling: Optional
Floating: Not required
Call: Not required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients
Perform rapid assessment triage and stabilization of critical patients
Manage cardiac and respiratory emergencies
Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
Assist with emergency procedures and trauma response
Collaborate with physicians RTs and interdisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols
Required Qualifications
Active Texas RN License (required)
Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience (hard stop requirement)
Certifications Required:
BLS
ACLS
PALS
TNCC
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Strong experience in trauma and emergency care settings
Ability to manage high-acuity patients independently
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
