Job Summary
Buying Manager Fashion Retail
We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Buying Manager to lead our buying function within a fast-paced fashion retail environment. This role is ideal for an experienced leader who can shape product direction drive performance and inspire a high-performing buying team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the overall buying strategy aligned to brand vision and business goals
- Lead mentor and develop a team of Buyers and Assistant Buyers
- Build commercially successful trend-led product ranges across categories
- Drive sales margin and profitability through effective product selection and planning
- Collaborate closely with Merchandise Planning Design and Operations teams
- Oversee supplier strategy negotiations and sourcing (local and international)
- Analyse market trends competitor activity and customer insights
- Manage in-season trading and make agile decisions to maximise performance
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Buying Manager or Senior Buyer role within fashion retail
- Strong leadership and people management capability
- Excellent commercial acumen and trend awareness
- Proven ability to build and deliver successful product strategies
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
