Job Summary
About this role
Internal Audits primary mission is to provide assurance to the Board of Directors and Executive Management that BlackRocks businesses are well managed and meeting strategic operational and risk management objectives. The team engages with senior leaders and all of BlackRocks individual business units globally to understand and advise on the risks in their business evaluate the effectiveness of key processes and assist in the design of best practices that can improve their results. Internal Audit reports directly to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and our work builds confidence that BlackRock will meet its obligations to clients shareholders employees and other stakeholders.
Strategy Analytics & Operations (SAO)
SAO is responsible for the Internal Audit platform delivering disciplined business management quality assurance and improvement and executive communication and reporting while driving strategic transformation to support audit delivery with data analytics and engineering solutions. The team maintains independence from the other audit teams and does not participate in traditional audit reviews or issues management.

Specific responsibilities will include:
Application Administration: Act as the primary administrator of Optro for Internal Audits and maintain system settings (user roles workflows templates) to align with audit processes. Design test and implement improvements to drive efficiency improve user experience and support evolving auditor needs. Provide user support and training on Optro best practices. Manage Internal Audits ServiceNow operations including Optro support tickets and ServiceNow workflow configuration across the audit function.
Audit Data Quality Structures and Automation: Enhance data structures for optimal access storage and processing. Leverage APIs and/or Microsoft Power Automate as needed to maintain data quality completeness and integrity as well as to automate data flows or repetitive tasks.
Visualization & Reporting: Develop and use dashboards and reports for operational metrics and audit results to deliver actionable insights and enable faster more informed and data-driven decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely across SAO and audit staff ensuring the tools and data pipelines align with departmental objectives & priorities. Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams on technical enhancements and act as a champion of new and emerging technologies including AI.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Finance or related field
3-5 years of relevant professional experience in data management analytics or application administration
Working knowledge of application administration including configuration user management and workflow optimization; experience with Optro a plus
Demonstrated ability to design and build data visualizations using Power BI or Sigma Compute to communicate complex datasets effectively
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and tools like Azure DevOpsServiceNow
Experience developing and managing APIs and API gateways in cloud-based environments
Experience with workflow automation tools such as Microsoft Power Automate
Proven ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Proficiencyin programming (SQL Python Unix)
Exposure to structured/unstructured data and data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake) a plus
