| Job Summary: |
This position coordinates and manages the preparation of timber sales for the DFFM Good Neighbor Authority (GNA) Program. The incumbent will work closely with U.S. Forest Service personnel and DFFM District Procurement and Finance staff to complete assigned tasks.
| Job Duties: |
- Draft and administer task orders for timber sale preparation activities including but not limited to timber marking and designation timber cruising and volume determination boundary recording and posting and project layout.
- Maintain and refine existing financial and performance tracking systems. Track project budget and finances document program accomplishments and prepare quarterly or annual reports. Perform inspections on pre sale work performed by district staff and contractors as needed to ensure compliance with federal specifications.
- Participate in the development of new Good Neighbor Authority agreements and the modification of existing agreements. Work with partners to prioritize and schedule timber sale preparation activities.
- Support and advise the completion of timber sale preparation by district staff.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge of:
- Timber sale preparation activities: unit delineation layout marking cruising volume estimation compliance surveys.
- USFS Timber Sale Preparation policies procedures handbooks and manuals.
- State procurement policy and procedures.
- Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

| Selective Preference(s): |
- B.S. in Forestry with two years of relevant experience. Or bachelors degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience working in a timber pre-sale program.
| Pre-Employment Requirements: |
- Arizona Drivers License
Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

- Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
- Participation is a mandatory condition of employment for all employees who meet the eligibility and membership criteria as defined in statute.
- Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
- The current contribution rate is 12.00%.
