The Assistant Branch Distribution Manager will supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned areas and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and equipment to maximize effectiveness of distribution operations. Oversee receiving stocking distribution systems administration inventory control safety & maintenance. Responsible for managing processes and procedures to optimize material flow throughout the distribution process and facilitate a Safe and Lean environment. Primary backup to the branch distribution manager and frequently leads projects to improve safety delivery quality and productivity.

Essential Functions:
- Supervise and manage daily production activities of a 15 to 40 employee department.
- Responsible for maintaining and promoting a safe work environment.
- Establish work procedures and assign duties to employees to ensure schedules are met to meet exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and generate warehouse productivity reports and assist management in budgeting for and delivering on expense targets.
- Periodically check employees work to assure compliance with specifications and that work is progressing at a satisfactory rate.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of work.
- Systems user of all systems and programs related to packaging and warehousing.
- Interpret company policies to employees.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all customers (both internal and external) and suppliers.
- Review and evaluate performance of employees.
- Document recommend and issue discipline to employees as required.
- Instruct and help employees in their daily duties.

Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Supply Chain Operations Management Logistics Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Previous leadership experience
- Customer service orientation mentality with the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Interpersonal verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in relevant field preferred
- Previous working knowledge of distribution warehouse management system with Manhattan WM or similar application. AS400 experience is a strong plus.
- First-hand experience applying lean manufacturing concepts Including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Bi-lingual verbal communication in Spanish
- Technical aptitude to troubleshoot minor repairs of packaging equipment and printers.
Working Conditions
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment as business needs dictate.
- The position will require sitting standing and walking in both an office and warehouse environment.
- Must be able to operate/drive PIT equipment including reach truck OP pallet jack etc. if needed.
- The position may require moving totes/boxes weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently twisting bending climbing grasping and other repetitive movements.
- The position will require on-site support between 1st shift work hours Monday - Friday which occasionally could encompass time outside normal 1st shift work hours weekend work and holidays as operational needs dictate.
The hiring range for this position is $66500 to $95750 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary based on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
