Job Description Summary
The role is part of the GPS Asia Projects Sourcing team and is responsible for leading sourcing operations and performance management across Asia projects driving governance standardization and execution discipline. It owns the establishment of a robust operating rhythm ensures closure of critical actions and provides end-to-end visibility on project financials and key metrics including KPIs EAC cost leakages NCRs etc.The role plays a key part in improving Asias overall sourcing performance by closely collaborating with global teams identifying risks and opportunities and driving structured interventions to enhance project outcomes.
In addition to regional responsibilities the incumbent will act as Project Sourcing Manager (PSM) for selected projects leading procurement strategies and execution and ensuring delivery cost and quality objectives are met for sourcing products MSD HRSG & BOP. The role also contributes to tendering by providing sourcing insights to improve cost competitiveness and win rates.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Asia Sourcing Operations & Governance
- Establish and drive a robust sourcing operating rhythm across Asia projects (weekly/monthly reviews action tracking escalations)
- Lead follow-up and closure of key sourcing action items across projects ensuring accountability and timely resolution
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement of PSM dashboards and reporting tools
- Own and enhance visibility on:
- Project financial summaries (cost savings risk)
- KPIs and operational metrics (delivery quality responsiveness)
- Bowlers tracking and performance governance
- Monitor and drive closure of NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) in coordination with quality teams
- Lead tracking and improvement actions on:
- EAC (Estimate at Completion)
- Cost leakages and recovery actions
- Identify cross-project risks and proactively drive mitigation plans
Regional Performance & Global Alignment
- Act as a bridge between Asia projects and global sourcing teams to drive alignment on priorities and performance
- Support improvement of Asia region financial and operational metrics through structured interventions
- Share best practices and lessons learned across projects and regions
- Provide inputs to leadership on performance trends risks and improvement opportunities
Project Sourcing Manager (PSM Role)
Lead end-to-end procurement for assigned projects as Project Sourcing Manager
- Ensure smooth handover from Tendering to Execution and validate sourcing strategy
- Own and drive:
- Procurement planning and execution
- Supplier selection and contract finalization
- On-time issuance of purchase orders within budget
- Supplier performance and delivery
- Ensure alignment with EPC contract requirements and sourcing strategy
- Manage contract claims supplier issues and critical negotiations
- Drive cross-functional coordination with Engineering Quality Logistics and Project teams
- Ensure on-time delivery of equipment in line with project schedule
Tendering & Cost Competitiveness Support
- Support tendering teams with budgetary inputs sourcing strategy and cost optimization levers
- Contribute to improving win rate and competitiveness through sourcing insights
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure adherence to quality EHS and corporate sourcing policies
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes tools and execution discipline
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Finance or related field
- Significant experience in project procurement / sourcing within EPC or power industry
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong understanding of project financials (EAC cost tracking margins leakages etc)
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sourcing project financial environment with demonstrated leadership exposure
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools
- Fluent in English
