Automotive Technician BMW and Mazda

Basney BMW Mazda is a dealership in South Bend Indiana. We are seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of both foreign and domestic vehicles. The Technician must have an aptitude for providing outstanding customer service an attention to detail and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The pay for this position is a base plus commission. Basneyalso offers a number of benefits such as health insurance and retirement savings contributions.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of vehicles both foreign and domestic.
Diagnose car defects and troubleshoot issues.
Perform brake jobs: wheel bearings rotors axle repair etc.
Disassemble and reassemble engine components as necessary.
Identify and utilize proper tools in order to complete job requirements.
Ensure the quality of all work performed and use of appropriate parts and components.
Track schedule of repairs findings and recommended repairs.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and mechanics.

Requirements

Automotive or Mechanical Engineering degree/certification a plus
At least 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
Thorough knowledge of both foreign and domestic vehicles
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicle issues
Working knowledge of automotive repair and service processes
Excellent customer service skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a team environment
