About the Role

Are you highly organised adaptable and ready to make a real impact in one of Birmingham City Councils busiest directorates

We are looking for a motivated Property Search Officer to join the Place Prosperity and Sustainability (PPS) Highways Searches Team.

As a key member of the Highway Searches Team you will play an essential role in helping the service run smoothly and efficiently.

  • Collect record and maintain Highway and Transport data.
  • Respond to Local Land Charges and CON29 Highways searches
  • Manage the Highways Searches mailboxes
  • This is a fulltime hybrid role working 36.5 hours per week with a mix of working from home and office at the Council House Birmingham.

Were looking for someone who:

  • Has a working knowledge of highways matters experience of Geographical Information System within a highways environment
  • Can deliver a customer focussed service within agreed timescales
  • Hasthe ability to interpret maps plans and related reports effectively and accurately.
  • Can investigate analyse and report on datatomeet deadlines and performance targets.
  • Can stay calm organised and solutionfocused under pressure
  • Communicates clearly and confidently (verbal and written)
  • Has strong IT skills and a proactive approach to learning including developing new digital skills to drive continuous improvement
  • Works well with others and contributes to a supportive team culture
