Reports To: Director of Student Services and Manager of Preschool Disabilities
Role: To serve as an intervention specialist as part of a team in order to perform screenings and educational assessments for preschoolers and to assist in determining eligibility for special education based on federal and state laws.
Responsibilities:
Share case manager duties with team members
Assist in reviewing HMG and parent request referral forms
Attend transition conferences for children in HMG who will be turning 3
Schedule and conduct screenings to determine if an educational disability is suspected
Schedule with families Initial ETR planning meetings
Schedule and facilitate play based evaluations and observations with students
Write evaluation reports with assessment results for the Initial ETRs.
Attend Initial ETRs and IEP meetings with families and team members
If preschooler is eligible for special education prepare draft IEP goals and objectives for initial IEP
Complete initial Childhood Outcome Summary scores
Complete necessary reports and record keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures

Establishes a professional relationship with families and community stakeholders.
Maintains a professional demeanor with students parents coworkers and administration.
Engages in professional growth activities through ongoing programs of job related knowledge and skill development.
Meets regular and predictable attendance requirements
