Job Summary
Assist department Manager in daily operation for the manufacturing functional areas within the department. Strategic planning staffing and resource management.
Directs departmental daily activities resolves problems answers questions assigns and prioritizes work.
Performs staffing and resource planning by scheduling resources and monitoring process on a day by day basis redeploying resources as needed.
Performs strategic planning. Assists and/or determines organization and unit goals and strategies.
Develops employees through coaching and counseling directing assignments planning and directing training activities.
Prepares internal reporting through formalized reports for internal use on a regular basis. Compiles and shares performance and key measurement reports.
Performs Ad Hoc Analysis by collecting analyzing organizing and reporting information in relation to a specific issue problem or inquiry. Provides interpretive and predictive information to make future business performance assessments and capital investment decisions.
Provides technical support answering detailed questions about production techniques product specs. Production equipment and new methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Bachelors and 3 years or HS/GED and 7 years experience in a distribution operations or manufacturing environment
- experience delivering training/information to peers
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors or equivalent experience in management
Experience: 1 year in manufacturing 1 year of management
-Strong interpersonal communication organizational and prioritization skills necessary.
-Must have knowledge of management fundamentals; knowledge of products equipment and procedures are very helpful
-Experience coaching and delivering messages related to performance.
-Experience developing and implementing department goals and strategies based on broader organization goals
Additional Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older
