Core Responsibilities
Post-16 Academic Delivery: Teaching A-Level Science (specializing in Biology Chemistry or Physics) and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science ensuring students master complex theoretical frameworks.
Advanced Practical Supervision: Guiding students through sophisticated practical endorsements (CPAC) focusing on precision safety and high-level data interpretation using statistical modelling.
HE & Career Mentorship: Providing expert guidance for UCAS applications particularly for competitive pathways such as Medicine Engineering and Veterinary Science.
Scholarly Inquiry: Leading seminars that explore scientific literature beyond the specification encouraging students to engage with contemporary research and global scientific challenges.
Assessment Excellence: Implementing rigorous mock examination cycles and providing granular feedback to ensure students are fully prepared for the demands of linear A-Level assessments.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a subject authority with a passion for high-level science and the mentorship of young adults. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a strong honours degree in a core Science discipline (Postgraduate degree preferred).
Subject Specialism: The ability to teach your lead subject to A-Level with absolute confidence and a track record of achieving high value-added results.
Adult-Centered Approach: An understanding of the unique pastoral and academic needs of 1619 learners fostering an environment of independence and mutual respect.
