Post Press Operator - Printing / Binding / Sorting (3rd Shift)

You will support the post-press process. Responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses.

• The position requires standing for most of the workday.

LOCATION: Townsend MA 01469
POSITION: Contract
SCHEDULE: 11:00pm -7:00am / Sunday - Thursday (Will need to train on first shift)
PAY RATE: 20.00 hour

• Responsible for the operation and manual setup/changeovers of multi-color sheet fed or high speed continuous/web presses.
• Perform a complete effective set-up of press including identifying and loading correct stock setting correct paper path and stretch bending and mounting plates mixing PMS ink die registration making appropriate adjustments to the ink and water balance assuring accurate multi-color register and setting up any attribute functions e.g. perforations number file holes etc.
• Determine and understand all order instructions and running of press meeting job requirements of ink density ink and water balance color matching size and construction and required attributes at a quality level that meets or exceeds our customers expectations.
• Performs daily weekly and monthly preventative maintenance to ensure a quality product to customer as required. Understands all press controls and demonstrates their use. Maintains the ability to troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns; demonstrates the ability to make adjustments to the equipment including blanket changes washing up units cleaning water system and roller settings as required.

Basic Qualifications

• 18 years old and eligible to work in the USA
• 2 years manufacturing/printing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 2 years printing press experience; familiar with Lean principles.
• Knowledge of printing process and in usage.
• Basic math reading and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills
