The Shop Lead / Parts & Logistics Coordinator supports daily shop and field operations by managing inventory coordinating logistics maintaining shop organization and assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs. Working closely with the Operations Manager this role ensures technicians have the tools parts and equipment needed to safely and efficiently support customer operations while maintaining a clean organized and safety-compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Shop & Operations
Assist the Operations Manager with daily shop operations and planning.
Build repair refurbish and test equipment.
Support field technicians during job execution.
Maintain a clean organized and safe shop environment.
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
Inventory & Logistics
Receive inspect stock and organize incoming inventory.
Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.
Monitor inventory levels and submit reorder requests as needed.
Coordinate shipments freight and material transfers.
Deliver parts tools and materials to field locations.
Assist with procurement activities and vendor coordination.
Equipment & Safety
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Perform equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Follow all safety guidelines and immediately report hazards or concerns
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
2-5 years of experience in shop operations warehouse logistics inventory or mechanical support.
Valid drivers license.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and inventory systems).
Mechanical aptitude preferred.
Forklift certification preferred (or ability to obtain certification).
Key Performance Expectations
Maintain inventory accuracy of 85% or higher.
Ensure timely delivery of parts and materials to field operations.
Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment.
Complete inspections and corrective actions promptly.
Support operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Stand walk bend kneel and work in shop and outdoor environments.
Safely operate forklifts vehicles and material handling equipment.
Work in varying weather and industrial conditions as needed.
