Job Summary

  • Work to continuously foster positive and effective relationships with trade applicable agencies to further advance the trade program for the company.
  • Assist the Regional to develop and implement overall import/export strategy and direction for Malaysia region and ensure consistency between programs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive local policy procedures and work instructions related to Trade Compliance for the company in Free Industrial Zone
  • Responsible for adherence to Corporate Trade Compliance program and ensuring compliance with Malaysia customs Malaysia local government authority U.S. Customs and Border Protection U.S. Dept. of Commerce and other foreign regulatory agencies as applicable.
  • Maintaining Tier 3 status in U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) trade security and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
  • Leading the implementation and enforcement of Supply Chain Security within the company (Country level).
  • Identify and assess regulatory changes and the impact to operations as well as other Global Businesses to ensure our policies and procedures are in line with shifting regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for applicable operational activity including trade regulatory requirements for Import & Export Control Bonded logistics and Bonded processing Customs brokerage management and documentation practices.
  • Identify implement and maintain classification and preferential duty programs across assigned businesses to reduce overall duty cost where applicable i.e Form E Form D.
  • Conduct regular audits on import and export documentation to related department to ensure compliance towards trade regulations and policies.
  • Overseeingtransportationoperationsandlogistics and conduct an analysis for efficiency
  • Review the appointed forwarder performance in terms of KPI transit time according to agreed service level

Requirements/Qualifications:

At least 7 years of working experience (5 years of international trade related and 2 years of logistics management)

Bachelor Degree in Business or Logistics or any relevant fields

In-depth knowledge of Customs classification Customs brokerage Bonded logistics Free Zone LMW licenses Bonded processing operations International Trade and Freight forwarding.

The ability to identify future trends and requirements in a relevant environment and construct meaningful strategies to address these needs.

Strong functional knowledge of import/export Management Systems.

Experience leading the development implementation and execution of Trade programs to address the needs of a large multi-national corporation.

Exemplary interpersonal skills

Ability to successfully lead initiatives with a positive and energizing style.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex project

Strong analytical and problem solving skills
