The Opportunity
As a Business Development Assistant you will support Plan International Nigerias institutional fundraising efforts by providing administrative coordination and research support to the Business Development Unit.
You will play a key role in tracking funding opportunities supporting proposal development and managing donor information to ensure efficient and well-organised operations aligned with the Country Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification and tracking of funding opportunities
- Maintain and update the funding pipeline including deadlines and key details
- Provide administrative and coordination support for proposal development
- Track timelines and follow up with teams to ensure timely inputs
- Support compilation and formatting of proposal documents and materials
- Conduct basic research on donors funding opportunities and trends
- Maintain and update donor databases and information records
- Support coordination across internal teams (programmes finance grants MERL)
- Assist in preparing donor-facing materials such as concept notes and presentations
- Maintain organised records and support knowledge management systems
- Support compliance with safeguarding and PSHEA standards in all business development activities
About You
We are looking to recruit person (s) with:
- A bachelors degree in social sciences development studies economics business administration or a related field (a postgraduate qualification is an advantage)
- Has 12 years of relevant experience (internship or entry-level experience in NGOs or similar environment acceptable).
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Understands donor landscapes and funding trends
- Communicates clearly both in writing and verbally.
- Has strong organisational and administrative skills

- Works well with others and builds positive working relationships
