MalaceHR is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development & Sales Specialist Exterior Services to support the growth of our commercial landscaping and exterior maintenance service lines.
This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities developing client relationships and securing service contracts within commercial markets. The ideal candidate brings industry knowledge strong sales acumen and the ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.
Key Responsibilities
Identify prospect and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling networking and lead generation
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including property managers facility leaders developers and procurement teams
Conduct site visits needs assessments and client consultations to understand project requirements
Lead the full sales cycle including presentations negotiations and contract execution
Prepare proposals pricing and responses to RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
Collaborate with internal teams (estimating operations and design) to deliver tailored client solutions
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets
Utilize CRM tools to track pipeline activity client interactions and forecasting
Participate in networking events trade shows and industry associations (e.g. BOMA IFMA IREM ASHE)
Support marketing initiatives including campaigns and collateral development
Ensure smooth client onboarding and maintain ongoing customer satisfaction in partnership with operations teams
Monitor market trends competitor activity and industry developments
Provide additional support and take on special projects as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of business development or sales experience (preferably in exterior services landscaping or related industry)
Associates degree in Business Marketing Landscape Architecture or related field preferred
Skills & Competencies:
Proven track record of closing high-value deals
Strong communication negotiation and relationship-building skills
Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritize effectively
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint)
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g. FreshSales) ZoomInfo or CoStar preferred
High level of professionalism and confidentiality
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Additional Requirements
Valid drivers license required
Willingness to travel as needed (10%)
