About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and dependable LocalDrillerswith a proven background in mineral exploration. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Core (Diamond) Reverse Circulation (RC) and Multipurpose Drilling with field-based experience in Ghana and or other African regions. This is a residential role based in Tarkwa requiring the right to work in Ghana with strong operational capabilities a safety-first mindset and the ability to lead or support small drilling crews.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate monitor and troubleshoot core RC and multipurpose drill rigs
• Perform wireline and conventional diamond drilling in hard fractured or weathered ground
• Execute RC drilling programs ensuring sample integrity and recovery
• Conduct pre-start inspections basic rig maintenance and field repairs
• Maintain accurate drill logs shift records and sampling reports
• Supervise offsiders and support crew ensuring safe and efficient operations
• Comply with all site-specific and client HSE procedures and standards
• Assist in mobilization/demobilization of drill rigs and support equipment
• Participate in daily toolbox meetings and safety drills

• Deep expertise in Diamond RC and Multipurpose Drilling
• Solid knowledge of geological conditions across Ghana including Ashanti Belt Wa-Lawra and Western Belt especiallyTarkwa area
• Strong mechanical aptitude for basic repairs and diagnostics
• Proficient in drilling safety including lock-out/tag-out hazard awareness and emergency response
• Leadership and mentorship skills for managing small teams in remote areas
• Capability to train and develop young trainee drillers
• Competence in field documentation and communication with supervisors

• Recognised Drilling Certification or relevant trade qualification
• Valid certifications in First Aid Defensive Driving and HSE Inductions
• Previous compliance with international mineral exploration standards
• Ghana MINCOM Certification would be an added value
• Literacy in English for drill logs and report writing

• Demonstrated work history across major gold zones in Ghana (Ashanti Belt Wa-Lawra and Western Belt especially Tarkwa)
• Prior international drilling experience in Africa or similar environments (advantageous but not essential)
