CBU Operations Director-Ghana & Francos
Job Summary
To contribute to the organizations growth operational efficiency and transformation objectives by leading the Operations Function and connecting customer consumer and regulatory insights into operational execution.
The CBU Operations Director-Ghana & Francos will oversee end-to-end operations including supply chain manufacturing logistics productivity innovation execution customer collaboration and sustainability initiatives. The role requires a strategic leader capable of driving operational excellence transformation and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Contribute actively to the development and execution of the companys strategic plan.
- Translate short and medium-term business priorities into clear result-oriented operational strategies.
- Identify and communicate local operational needs to regional and global stakeholders to ensure long-term alignment and operational effectiveness.
- Lead operational transformation initiatives that improve agility efficiency and business performance.
- Ensure operations remain responsive to changing market realities economic conditions and supply chain disruptions.
- Drive sustainability and digital transformation initiatives across operational functions.
- Own and manage the full operational cost structure including productivity and cost optimization initiatives.
- Drive productivity improvement programs and operational efficiency projects.
- Lead the execution of innovation renovation and productivity pipelines.
- Ensure operational excellence across manufacturing supply chain logistics and customer operations.
- Monitor and improve operational KPIs related to service delivery cost productivity waste reduction and efficiency.
- Strengthen operational planning processes to improve forecast accuracy and business responsiveness.
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement manufacturing warehousing transportation and distribution.
- Ensure optimal service levels that support topline business growth.
- Oversee manufacturing operations and plant performance to ensure operational reliability and efficiency.
- Adapt and optimize route-to-market strategies in response to changing business and economic environments.
- Enhance customer collaboration processes and improve service delivery standards.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers co-manufacturers logistics partners and major customers.
- Own and lead key operational processes including productivity management innovation execution and operational planning.
- Ensure local operational processes are properly documented standardized and continuously improved.
- Participate actively in cross-functional business processes including strategy execution performance management and value creation initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Champion operational automation and digital process optimization initiatives.
- Lead and develop high-performing operational teams across multiple functions and locations.
- Build a strong culture of accountability collaboration innovation and performance.
- Coordinate effectively with Quality Finance Commercial and Research & Innovation teams.
- Lead operational people initiatives linked to organizational transformation projects.
- Coach mentor and develop talent to build strong succession pipelines.
- Foster employee engagement and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 15 years experience in procurement or category management preferably within FMCG or manufacturing. Proven track record in strategic sourcing procurement transformation and procurement excellence projects. Experience working in a global or multi-functional organization. Strong people management experience with the ability to lead coach and develop teams. Demonstrated commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a high level of professionalism and integrity. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook). Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure.
Required Education:
Masters degree in Business Administration Economics Supply Chain or a related field.
