Job Summary
SUMMARY:
Works collaboratively with campus administrators and faculty in the design and implementation of school-wide instructional initiatives based on campus data and in alignment withDistrict goals.

MAJORRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Staff Development
- Coach teachers at assigned campuses in the implementation of the districts curriculum.
- Develop teachers on instructional best practices through modeling coaching and presentations.
- Work collaboratively with campus administrationin an effort tosupport teachers in need of assistanceregardingareas defined as needing growth.
- Communicate openly with campus administration on a regular basisregardingobservations and activities with teachers.
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers on an as needed basis to implementappropriate instructionaland learning strategies activities and materials to ensure learning success of students.
- Work withappropriate staffmembers to develop effective individualized plans andmake adjustmentsas needed.
- Develop andmaintainpositive teacher/student relationshipsin order tomentor effectively and foster a positive learning environment.
- Provide staff development on an as needed basis in the areas of successful instructional strategies at-risk interventions and curriculum modification and acceleration.
Communication
- Establish andmaintaina professional relationshipand open communication with parents students colleagues and community members.
Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
- Comply withStateDistrict and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
Other
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Develop andmaintainsystems for retrieval of information in support of all programs; compilemaintain file and secure all physical and computerized reports records and other required documents.
- Pursue Professional Development activities for self and assigned staff; ensure that Professional Development activities are aligned with District goals and initiatives and current professional research.
- Comply withall policies operating procedures legal requirements and verbal and written directives.
- Comply withthe Professional Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
- Follow District safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelorsdegree fromanaccredited university
- Masters degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsementsinappropriate contentarea
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in English as a Second Language Required for all Core Subject Teachers
Experience:
- Three (3)yearssuccessful teaching experience.

- Skill in coaching and modeling instructional practices
- Knowledge of curriculum and differentiated instruction
- Knowledgeof special populations intheareasof needs and programs
- Knowledgeof school operations/instructional programs
- Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Ability to interpret data and evaluate instruction programs and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to develop and deliver training to adult learners
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
