ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is based in Sydney and will report to the CETS Manager. As a Field Service Engineer youll be on the front lines supporting the installation maintenance and repair of advanced medical technologies. Working under the guidance of the CETS Manager youll serve as a vital technical ambassadorensuring our life-saving devices operate flawlessly in clinics and hospitals. This is a hands-on customer-facing role that balances technical mastery with empathy and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform installation commissioning and configuration of CE products at customer sites.

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance in line with manufacturer and regulatory standards.

• Diagnose and repair equipment faults ensuring minimal downtime.

• Maintain timely & accurate service records and documentation in a digital system for compliance and traceability.

• Collaborate with the CETS Manager and other FSEs to support ongoing service strategies field team coordination and customer satisfaction goals.

• Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on equipment use and basic troubleshooting.

• Communicate effectively with hospital stakeholders to coordinate service visits and manage expectations.

• Adhere to hospital protocols infection control procedures and safety standards.

• Monitor organise and maintain personal trunk stock tools & test measurement equipment.

• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards TGA Medsafe (NZ) and internal quality assurance requirements.

• Work closely with Customer Service Team for scheduling and parts logistics.

• Liaise with the Service Contracts Specialist to support contract delivery and upsell opportunities.

• Participate in team meetings training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering Electronics or related technical field.
• 5 years experience in field service with proven expertise in medical devices or hospital equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid drivers license and willingness to travel regionally.
• Experience working in surgical and cath lab environments is highly desirable.
