A fast-growing agritech company operating within the fruit supply chain sector is seeking to appoint a commercially driven and hands-on Head of Commercial. This is a senior leadership role suited to an individual who can operate both strategically and operationally taking full ownership of the commercial function while building scalable systems to support growth.

This is a senior leadership role suited to an individual who can operate both strategically and operationally taking full ownership of the commercial function while building scalable systems to support growth.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial strategy driving new business development and ensuring exceptional client experience across the full lifecycle from onboarding through to retention and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership & Systems Development

- Take full ownership of the commercial department including its direction performance and culture
- Design and implement scalable systems processes and frameworks to support growth
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures across client success onboarding support and marketing
- Implement tools and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce operational friction
- Build and lead a high-performing accountable team with clear KPIs
- Define and execute the commercial strategy aligned to growth objectives
- Drive new business development and identify partnership opportunities
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies
- Represent the business at industry events and client engagements
- Own the end-to-end client success strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Monitor client performance metrics to proactively manage retention upsell and expansion
- Oversee the support function to ensure efficient issue resolution
- Define and manage SLAs escalation protocols and service standards
- Promote a proactive solutions-driven support culture
- Lead client onboarding and system rollout processes
- Develop onboarding frameworks training material and implementation guides
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful client adoption
- Act as the liaison between clients and development teams
- Translate client feedback into clear product requirements
- Manage and prioritise feature requests within the development pipeline
- Drive marketing strategy within the agritech and fresh produce sectors
- Oversee content campaigns and brand consistency
- Support business development through marketing collateral and thought leadership
- Bachelors degree in Business Commerce Marketing Agricultural Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in a commercial client success or business development role
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
- Demonstrated success in client growth retention and revenue expansion
- Strong understanding of SaaS environments and implementation processes
- Experience translating client needs into product or technical requirements
- Exposure to agritech supply chain or fresh produce industries advantageous
- Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot Salesforce) and project tools (e.g. ClickUp Asana Jira)
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical capability
