Senior Technical Program Manager, Amazon Music

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager in the Amazon Music team you will collaborate with product engineering marketing design content producers and artist/label relation teams to deliver customer obsessed engineering solutions with efficient use of resources and technologies. You will assess risks anticipate bottlenecks make tradeoffs balance the needs of the business and technical constraints. You will be a role model enforcer of industry standard software development processes and practices. You will be the face to leadership to demonstrate progress and surface risks early.

You possess a deep understanding of customer facing product design mobile implementations complex software services and will represent the technical team to senior leadership and partners. Your technical expertise attention to details with regard to process efficiencies and operational excellence will influence the teams decisions and drive secure and robust solutions. You should not only be passionate about delivering great music experiences but should also be obsessed with driving continuous process improvements to optimize product delivery. Key job responsibilities
* Drive implementation and delivery of large-scale Music initiatives.
* Lead agile engineering and design teams to coordinate prioritize and deliver the roadmap
* Understand service inter-dependencies mobile implementation nuances and lead cross-functional teams towards technical solutions
* Clarify prioritize and drive project commitments as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability
* Strong (executive) communication and presentation skills
* Articulate program goals desired outcomes risks and mitigation plans clearly
* Strong metrics based decision making skills
* Drive continued process improvements in the organization
* Strong JIRA/Asana skills
* Mentor junior employees and build effective teams

- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
