Manager Plastic Sourcing MRF

• Identify evaluate and onboard suppliers/recyclers through Due-diligence process for all plastic grades material
  
• Negotiate pricing contracts and supply terms with downstream & upstream partners
  
• To ensure consistent supply with a focus on cost optimization and quality standards
  
• Build and maintain strong relationships with scrap dealers aggregators recyclers.
  
• Monitor local market trends pricing fluctuations and availability of plastic materials
  
• Ensure compliance related to plastic sourcing
  
• Maintain proper documentation (POs invoices contracts vendor records)
  
• Develop vendor networks and ensure cost-effective and timely sourcing aligned with operational requirements.
  
• Flexibility in field travel is required to supplier locations aggregators recyclers.
  

A. Team Management:

1. Lead mentor and manage a team of sourcing and operations staff.

2. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.

3. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.

4. Resource backup planning coordinating with contractors on the manpower requirements.

5. Team trainings.

6. Organizing Workers Committee meetings.

B. Operational Management:

1. Hiring and Training of Field Staff on MRF process EHS and 5S.

2. Follow MRF framework & implement the process and update the tracker sheet & weekly progress update to the MRF Lead/Manager.

3. Monitoring and Evaluation of the performance of MRF supervisors and analysis of production sorting teams & Baling teams. Also ensuring compliance to assigned tasks.

4. Development of team in multiple aspects and regular interactive sessions to ensure a motivated workforce

5. Health card KPIs of productivity in ZOHO. Maintain Records Analyse actual vs target and implement changes.

6. To define the target as per AOP projections and get it implemented month by month.

7. Planning monthly production schedules.

8. Conducting MRF inductions for visitors.

9. Ensure for Invoicing and Payment Collections from recyclers and aggregators including VMS uploads

10. Ensuring right MOQ at right time. Will need to prepare and adhere to the dispatch plan.

11. Development and Adherence to MRF Manual and other SOPs.

12. Testing and Implementation of new Technologies at MRF like vision sensing IOT etc.

13. Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the waste management process.

14. Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.

15. Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and improve productivity.

16. Timely maintenance of machinery & procurement based on the requirement.

C. Documentation and Compliance:

1. Cross-check and verify all operational documentation for accuracy and completeness.

2. Maintain and audit records as per regulatory requirements.

3. Monitoring MIS daily.

4. To submit the PnL on the 30th of each month.

D. Sales and Target Achievement:

1. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet organizational targets.

2. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals.

3. Coordinate with the team to get end-destination details.

4. Collaborating with the Plastics team to keep updated on the plastic rate.

E. Billing & Payments:

1. Coordinate with an accountant for raising SO and invoices.

2. Plan to achieve the AOP targets.

3. Constant focus on cost optimisation for better profitability.

4. In case of unavailability of an accountant raise invoice & E-way bill.

5. Ensure timely Payments for vendors & service providers.

6. Payments follow-up and responsible for payment collection from recyclers

F. Logistics:

1. Audit of transport cost & their documents. Rate negotiations with Transporters

2. Arrange Logistics - Coordinate for dispatching materials and ensuring stocks are never superfluous at the facility.

G. 5S Standards and Safety:

1. Promote and enforce 5S (Sort Set in order Shine Standardize Sustain) at MRF.

2. Coordinate with the QEHS team for the implementation of 5S at MRF.

3. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

4. Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

5. Response preparation during emergencies and ensure the team is equipped to handle them.

H. Special Projects:

1. Execution of special projects as applicable.

2. Testing and Implementation of New Technologies at MRF like IOT sensor-based sorting MHE etc.

I. Ecosystem mapping:

1. Mapping of scrap dealers & aggregators and on boarding to source the waste

2. Mapping of end destinations across the state and onboard the recyclers with the due diligence completion.

3. Preparation of Sourcing plan for MRF by coordinating with sourcing team and partners.

4. Ensure coordination for quality check by ED capture feedback and bring any internal process change for improving the quality.

J. Audits & Visits:

1. Coordinate with external audit teams to understand the requirements.

2. Coordinate with QEHS & third parties for all the required audits.

3. Supervising all the audits and visits conducted at MRF.

4. Maintain ISO standards at the facility.

• Strong understanding of plastic grades quality parameters and pricing dynamics
  
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
  
• Knowledge of recycling ecosystem and scrap market
  
• Proficiency in MS office
  
• Strong communication and coordination abilities
