MCIA Quantico Access Control Specialist

Position Title: Access Control Specialist

Location: Marine Corps Base Quantico VA

Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include the following:

• Provide access control functions to ensure entry control points are monitored
• Verify clearances via the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Scattered Castles or other authorized means
• Conduct validation of Information System Authorization Access Requests
• Issue visiting and temporary badges to visitors and employees
• Conduct magnetometer and other searches of employees and visitors
• Utilize the Foreign Visits System Confirmation Module (FVS-CM) to input all foreign visitors
• Submit and receive visitor and employee visit/perm certifications
• Screen incoming and outgoing documents and/or packages to ensure that they are properly wrapped and couriered in accordance with MCIA policy
• Conduct detailed turnovers with command duty officers
• Conduct and complete end-of-day checklists and properly open/close MCIA facilities
• Monitor facility control points via line of sight and CCTV system

Knowledge and Qualifications

• Experience with the following software/applications: Microsoft Windows Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Excel and Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
• Experience in basic access control functions
• Knowledge and experience using CDX-09 and CDX-10 style locks
• Must possess a valid U.S. drivers license
• Knowledge and experience providing quality customer service to Government employees military personnel contractors and/or visitors.
