Job Summary
Are you a driven and hands-on finance professional looking to take the next step in your career I am currently building a strong talent pipeline of Financial Accountants and Financial Compliance Controllers for opportunities within established and growing organisations in Durban.
Company and Job Description:
These roles are suited to individuals who enjoy working across the full finance function while maintaining strong compliance and reporting standards. You will be involved in financial reporting controls and supporting operational finance processes within structured environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage month-end processes including journals accruals and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
Support internal and external audit processes
Perform VAT calculations and submissions in line with requirements
Analyse financial data and highlight key variances
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Work closely with operational teams to improve reporting and efficiencies
Contribute to process improvements and strengthening controls
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
BCom Accounting or Accounting Sciences
Postgraduate qualification advantageous
Experience:
1 or more years experience in financial accounting or compliance-focused roles
Strong exposure to reporting reconciliations and audit processes
Skills:
Understanding of IFRS and VAT
Advanced Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership
