Key Responsibilities:
- Manage month-end processes including journals accruals and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial controls
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Perform VAT calculations and submissions in line with requirements
- Analyse financial data and highlight key variances
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Work closely with operational teams to improve reporting and efficiencies
- Contribute to process improvements and strengthening controls
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- BCom Accounting or Accounting Sciences
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- Experience:
- 1 or more years experience in financial accounting or compliance-focused roles
- Strong exposure to reporting reconciliations and audit processes
- Skills:
- Understanding of IFRS and VAT
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership
