Job Summary

A leading international developer in renewable energy and infrastructure sectors is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor Project Finance to join its growing team in Johannesburg South Africa. With an established presence across multiple markets the group develops finances builds and operates large-scale energy and infrastructure assets and is expanding its portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to apply your project finance expertise across the full project lifecycle from opportunity assessment and bid support through to financial close while engaging directly with leading banks investors and funders on high-profile renewable energy and infrastructure deals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain complex project finance models valuations and sensitivity analysis
Support investment decisions through robust financial and commercial evaluation
Prepare business cases and investment memorandums
Structure and execute debt and equity financing transactions
Coordinate due diligence and drive projects through to financial close and funding
Assess project risk identify mitigation strategies and optimise capital structures
Build and manage relationships with banks DFIs investors advisors and project partners
Track market trends financing conditions and new investment opportunities

Requirements

Degree in Finance Economics Accounting Engineering or a related discipline
CFA CA(SA) CIMA ACCA ACA or equivalent professional qualification advantageous
Minimum 5 years experience in project finance corporate finance infrastructure finance financial advisory investment banking or renewable energy finance
Proven financial modelling and valuation experience
Exposure to debt raising project financing or infrastructure transactions
Renewable energy or infrastructure project experience highly advantageous
Strong commercial acumen stakeholder management and negotiation skills
