JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Penn State Office of Physical Plant is offering part time ($16/hour) Landscape Worker positions for interested candidates. These are 40 hour/week positions with a 16-week term from May August 2026 with an option to extend into Fall. Start and end dates are negotiable.
Experience:
Candidates will learn grounds management practices working side by side with OPP staff to manage day-to-day operations throughout the growing season. Highlights include:
- Training in sustainable gardening techniques
- Plant identification
- Pruning techniques
- Water feature maintenance
- Skills training in the use of hand tools utility vehicles and power equipment.
Preference will be given to candidates who can explain how this opportunity will help them reach their career goals.
