Job Summary

As an Internal Auditor Director youll assess and strengthen the quality of controls across Nasdaqs enterprise (Expert Functions): spanning finance operations regulatory compliance technology M&A legal HR and risk.

You will own auditable entities develop audit plans act as a strategic advisor to senior management lead multiple concurrent audit engagements and deliver actionable recommendations that ensure Nasdaqs internal controls meet corporate objectives and industry standards.

Youll thrive in this position if youre analytical an excellent communicator and passionate about driving continuous improvement (within Nasdaq and the Internal Audit function) through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage auditable entities within the Expert Functions organization by partnering with business stakeholders on continuous monitoring performing annual risk assessments and completing audit planning activities to embed a culture of strong internal controls.

Lead internal audits end-to-end including performing test work writing executive reports and delivering conclusion results to senior management on the effectiveness of internal controls across the Expert Functions organization.

Identify opportunities to analyze data using automated audit tools to detect control weaknesses or inefficiencies and provide actionable recommendations with proven results that strengthen compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Prepare and review audit workpapers and reports ensuring alignment with Global Internal Audit Standards as well as Nasdaqs Internal Audit Department Standards.

Follow up on previously identified audit findings and management action plans to ensure timely resolution and sustained control improvements.

Required Qualifications

8 years of experience including leading audits and owning senior management relationships within internal audit or external audit.

Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.

Strong knowledge of accounting and finance rules regulations and processes; including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX compliance).

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and collaborate effectively across functions and geographies.

Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong analytical and solution-first communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree (MBA Masters in Accounting Finance or related field).

Professional certifications such as CPA CIA CFA CISA CISM CFE or CRMA.

Proficiency in automation tools and data analytics platforms used in audit execution (e.g. Alteryx Power BI etc.).

Experience using TeamMate or other audit management software.

Experience in financial services fintech or regulated industry.

This position will be located in New York and Philly and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office subject to change providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $112000 - $207000. In addition to base salary Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive) and equity (long-term incentive) comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to: skill set experience education/training business needs and market demands.
