Job Summary
The Assistant Manager Operations will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operational activities including procurement logistics coordination warehouse management and team supervision. The role requires strong ownership coordination with multiple stakeholders and the ability to ensure timely and cost-effective order processing and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Order Management
- Plan and execute product purchase activities and vendor order placements
- Ensure complete ownership of order lifecycle from placement to dispatch
- Generate invoices and process orders accurately within timelines
- Verify and ensure all orders are properly dispatched without errors
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Liaise with freight forwarders logistics partners and vehicle vendors
- Coordinate with Customs House Agents for smooth and timely clearance
- Manage and reduce import purchase costs through effective negotiation and planning
- Oversee shipment tracking and ensure on-time deliveries
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Handle complete warehouse operations including goods inward and outward
- Ensure proper barcode scanning for all incoming and outgoing goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control
- Oversee storage safety and organization of warehouse goods
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare shipping documents such as Commercial Invoices AWB and E-Way Bills
- Ensure compliance with logistics and transportation regulations
- Maintain proper documentation for all shipments and transactions
Team & Performance Management
- Lead and manage a team of 10 members
- Ensure daily productivity and operational efficiency of the team
- Handle labour management and allocate tasks effectively
- Take complete responsibility for team performance and KRA achievement
Customer & E-commerce Coordination
- Respond to customer queries on e-commerce platforms promptly
- Coordinate with 3PL teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Monitor service levels and ensure customer satisfaction
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Any Graduate (Mandatory)
- Minimum 80% aggregate throughout academics preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Logistics / Courier Services
- E-commerce Operations
- Warehouse Management
- Logistics / Courier Services
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of logistics operations and supply chain processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Mandatory)
- Experience in handling shipping documentation and compliance
- Good understanding of city/district zoning for logistics planning
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent coordination and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
